Fees & eligibility

The cost of participation is 80€/person/day.

Only the athletes who comply with the following conditions may take part in a FISU World University Championship:

a) Be a national of the country they represent;
b) Be at least 18 and no older than 25 years of age on the 31st December of the year of the event; for 2024, athletes must be born between the 01/01/1999 and the 31/12/2006.

Accommodation

Hotel Dorpat

Hotel Dorpat is located in Tartu city centre, in the middle of the main business area. The hotel is also an easy stroll from the Old Town and major shopping centres. Many rooms enjoy views over the city or the Emajõgi River – scenes of Tartu you’ll never forget! The competition venue is located 1,4 kilometres away and takes about 15 minutes to walk.

Light coloured and modern Standard rooms are located on all five floors. Most of the Standard rooms are carpeted. 3rd floor rooms have a natural parquet flooring. Standard rooms have a view at the open market or Tasku shopping centre. All Standard rooms have air conditioning, WIFI and complimentary broadband Internet access in all rooms. There’s a separate floor for people with allergies, where the rooms have a natural oak parquet.

SOHO Hotel

SOHO is not just a hotel. SOHO’s not just a restaurant either. Located in the centre of Tartu, SOHO is a hub bringing together anyone from family and friends to various other groups of visitors for a truly memorable time. Guests can also stay overnight in one of 59 rooms and dine in style. All the beds in the rooms are separable SOHO is ideal for anyone who loves a great location.

A location where restaurants, cafes, entertainment, and shopping are within walking distance, and one can carefreely immerse in the legendary vibe of Tartu. SOHO is here for you when it comes to either business or pleasure. The competition venue is located approximately 1 kilometer and takes about 10 minutes to walk.

Catering

Breakfast will be provided in both accommodation sites. Lunch and dinner will be served in the competition venue.

Transport

Transportation between TLL – Tartu city – TLL on official arrival and departure dates will be organised from the official point of entry (TLL – Tallinn Lennart Meri Airport). During the competition public transportation in Tartu will be free of charge with the WUC Powerlifting 2024 accreditation card. Accommodation and competition venues are all within walking distance and the Organising Committee encourages all participants to choose the more environmentally friendly option for means of transportation during the games.

Visa

Visa-free travel from countries of the European Union, the European Economic Area and the Schengen area. Short-term visa-free travel for citizens of third countries and holders of diplomatic, service, official and special passports.
